Akamai is owned and operated by Johanna Wiseman and Shirley Spencer.
Shirley and Johanna owned art supply stores in Hawaii before moving to Port Townsend and bring their extensive art supply knowledge,
as well as the Aloha spirit to the Pacific Northwest. They are both Certified Art Materials Professionals. This certification is
granted by the International Art Materials Trade Association and requires passing a comprehensive exam covering the use of art materials and product knowledge.
Akamai Manager, Dawn Sagar, paints in oil, encaustic, and pastel. Recently she has been working with mosaic as well. She has an MFA in FIne Art and has extensive experience in 2D and 3D art. She has managed art supply stores in Colorado as well as owning her own business. Dawn is a Certified art Materials Professional. She shows her works in Galleries in Washington and Colorado.
